At the UQ School of Geography, Planning and Architecture, a 2nd year architectural studio of approximately 80 students have been exploring PARK(ing). This has been run by Dr Nicole Sully.
They have 19 groups of with an average 4 students per group. The students had 3 weeks to work on their designs and had the project critique on 8 August 2008. While the programmed teaching time for this project ended after the critiques, the students have been using the rest of the lead up to source materials and construct anything they need to.
Their 19 PARKs will be located throughout the St Lucia campus, and represent a significant contribution to the total number of Brisbane spaces.
Brisbane PARK(ing) Day thanks the support from the St Lucia Campus (especially the Properties and Facilities, Security and Traffic and Parking sections)
