Boo Crew Workshop

The Boo Crew is a collective of designers, artists and craftspeople who specialise in the creation of ephemeral bamboo structures for shade, interaction and inspiration.

They are creating rickshaws as part of West End PARK(ing) and GetUp's Climate Torch. (work in progress, pictured)

There are building workshops this Saturday (6th) and next weekend in Highgate Hill and helpers are welcome!

PARK(ing) Day started in 2005 as a temporary art project to raise awareness about the lack of green spaces in San Francisco’s downtown. It’s based on the idea that feeding a parking meter is like “renting” a space. But instead of parking car, why not park something better! Every September, people around the world are now transforming ‘car parks’ to ‘people parks’. These PARKs are fun and visual symbols of communities wanting to improve urban quality.
