Talking Point (#17) Brisscapes

In exploring ideas about urban places, PARK(ing) Day really talks to our perception and ambitions for Brisbane - of what our city is and what it could be. Opening at Flipbook Gallery,West End on March 8 is the Brisscapes Exhibition which also looks at Brisbane's identity, perceptions, and its physical and social history.

Coincidently Chris Booth's work "'I think it's a Shelbyville idea" features the blue parking P. For those who don't know - Shelbyville is a Simpsoms reference, and relates to the episode where money for main street improvement was spent on a disastrous monorail. (...yes even The Simpsons have urban design messages!)
