Talking Point #38 - Global Cities

2007 is the first year that the earth’s population has balanced 50/50 between rural and urban, and the exhibition "Global Cities" at the Tate Modern, London explored some of the world’s great cities under the headings of size, speed, form, density and diversity.

This fascinating exhibition came out of the 2006 Venice Biennale.

REBAR are proud to announce that they will participate in the 2008 Venice Biennale.

1) PARK(ing) Day will be included in the "Out There: Architecture Beyond Building" exhibition in the Italian Pavilion, curated by Aaron Betsky.
2) The Panhandle Bandshell, built by The Finch Mob, REBAR, and CMG Landscape Architecture, will represent the United States in the "Into the Open: Positioning Practice" exhibition in the American Pavilion, organized by William Menking.

The Venice Architecture Biennale runs from September 14 through November 24th, 2008.
